Heartsaver ® First Aid with CPR & AED

Ct Forest Practitioners will receive 2.0 CEUs

Registration Information:

• $35 for members of CT Professional Timber Producers Association**
• $90 for non-members.
• $100 non-members late fee registrations received after Nov. 25th.

Cost includes certification card, instruction, and all needed materials. Instructors will supply all training equipment, workbooks and electronic equipment.

All our instructors are licensed/certified health care professionals with a mini- mum of 15 years “Real Life” experience.

Tolland Agricultural Center 24 Hyde Avenue, Vernon, CT

This one-day comprehensive course will cover a wide variety of emergency topics all forest practitioners should be familiar with including blood borne pathogens. OSHA's Logging Regulations (29 CFR 1910.266) require that all logging employees have first aid & CPR training and require a suitable First Aid kit be kept at every jobsite.

Heartsaver CPR is valid for a period of 2 years from date of completion. First Aid is valid for a period of 3 years from date of completion.

Space is limited to first 16 registrants per location. Register early!!!

Program

7:30 AM to 8:00 AM—Registration, coffee and donuts
8:00 AM to 9:00 AM - Course introduction and checking conscious and unconscious victims.
9:00 – 9:15 AM - Break
9:15 AM to 10:15 AM - Blood borne patho- gens (As required by 29 CFR 1910.1030)
10:15 to Noon - Wound care, sudden illnesses, allergic reactions (including administering autoinjectors), cold and heat stress emergencies.

Noon to 12:30 PM - Lunch Bring your own

 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM - CPR and automat- ed external defibrillator (AED) use.

Time will be allocated throughout the program for questions and answers.
