As of September 1, funding from  United States Forest Service (USFS) will enable The Connecticut Timber Producers Association (Timpro) to provide low-cost temporary bridge mats to loggers and other qualified users in order to protect water resources during forestry-related operations. The mats will enable temporary crossings of streams and other water resources.

Timpro members who are Connecticut residents are eligible to apply for a maximum of 16 timber mats or 1 pair of steel bridge panels during the duration of the grant. The fee is 20% of the total cost of the mat/bridge due in a single upfront payment to The Connecticut Timber Producers Association.
