Our Outreach program provides education and opportunity for the community to learn about logging and logging safety, sawmill operations, and forestry here in Connecticut.            

 

We currently are working on a Logger Rescue Class for Fire Departments and other Rescue Professionals, as well as Job Site Safety classes for certified practitioners.

 

Two of our members, Paul Burke and Jerry Bellows, have done a chainsaw safety class for High School Students, and the kids came away with some very important information on safety issues in using chainsaws.

We have ongoing continuing education classes planned each year for all certified practitioners.  These classes are also open to others interested in the topics who don't need the ceu credit.  Continuing education is a required part of certification renewal in Connecticut.  All of our classes are approved by the State of Connecticut, Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Forestry. 

Our organization provides a stable and well established base of Professional Timber Harvesters, Sawmills, and Foresters, and other Forestry Services capable of addressing every request.

We can assist and perform every aspect of a harvest and management plan to ensure a sustainable forest for our future.
